As I promised earlier, here is the project for Day 4 of the Twelve Days of Christmas. Again I apologize for the lateness.
Those of you who don’t know, my mom really loves to dress in Christmas themed attire throughout December (especially in the week leading up to Christmas and of course Christmas Eve/Day). She loves to wear her Christmas light necklace, red or green sweaters, Christmas socks, and various Christmas-related earrings. She as also really liked the scarves that I have made in the past so I decided to make a Christmas infinity scarf for my mom to add to her collection of accessories. Unfortunately, my mom wouldn’t model the scarf for me to take pictures but here’s how it turned out.
Christmas Infinity Scarf
The pattern:
I used 1 ball each of Simply Soft Caron yarn (surprise, surprise) in Bright White (A), Dark Sage (B), and Autumn Red (C) with an I hook.
Special Stitches:
Half double crochet 4 together (hdc4tog): Yo, insert hook into stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, insert hook into same stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, insert hook into same stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, insert hook into same stitch, yo, pull up loop, yo, insert hook into same stitch, yo, pull loop through all loops on hook.
Using yarn A, Ch 202. Sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 1. Sc in each ch around. Sl st in first sc. (202 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 3. Dc in each stitch around. Sl st in top of ch 3. (202 dc)
Rnd 3: Repeat Round 1. (202 sc)
Rnd 4: Repeat Round 2. (202 dc)
Rnd 5: Repeat Round 1. (202 sc)
Rnd 6: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 7: Change to yarn C, Ch 2. Hdc4tog in ch 1 space. * Ch 1. Hdc4tog in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st into top of ch 2. (101 hdc4tog & 101 ch1 spaces)
Rnd 8: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 9: Change to yarn A, Ch 1. 2 sc into each ch 1 space all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (202 sc)
Rnd 10: Dc in each stitch around. Sl st in top of ch 3. (202 dc)
Rnd 11: Ch 1. Sc in each ch around. Sl st in first sc. (202 sc)
Rnd 12: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 13: Change to yarn C, Ch 2. Hdc4tog in ch 1 space. * Ch 1. Hdc4tog in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st into top of ch 2.(101 hdc4tog & 101 ch1 spaces)
Rnd 14: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 15: Change to yarn A, Ch 2. Hdc4tog in ch 1 space. * Ch 1. Hdc4tog in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st into top of ch 2.(101 hdc4tog & 101 ch1 spaces)
Rnd 16: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 17: Change to yarn C, Ch 2. Hdc4tog in ch 1 space. * Ch 1. Hdc4tog in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st into top of ch 2. (101 hdc4tog & 101 ch1 spaces)
Rnd 18: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 19: Change to yarn A, Ch 1. 2 sc into each ch 1 space all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (202 sc)
Rnd 20: Dc in each stitch around. Sl st in top of ch 3. (202 dc)
Rnd 21: Ch 1. Sc in each ch around. Sl st in first sc. (202 sc)
Rnd 22: Change to yarn B, Ch 1. Sc in same stitch. Ch 1. *Skip one stitch. Sc in next stitch. Ch 1. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st in first sc. (101 sc & 101 ch 1 spaces).
Rnd 23: Change to yarn C, Ch 2. Hdc4tog in ch 1 space. * Ch 1. Hdc4tog in next ch 1 space. Repeat from * all the way around. Sl st into top of ch 2. (101 hdc4tog & 101 ch1 spaces)
